So, yesterday I began my plunge into functional programming with <a href="http://microsoft.com" target="_blank">Microsoft&#8217;s</a> <a href="http://research.microsoft.com/fsharp/fsharp.aspx" target="_blank">F# language</a> and the book <a href="http://www.apress.com/book/view/1590598504">Expert F#</a> (written by Don Syme whom is the main designer of F# and published by <a href="http://apress.com">APress</a>).

<p>
Functional programming is a whole other beast compared to the imperative, object-oriented programming I&#8217;m used to &#8211; it&#8217;s very refreshing to not have to worry so much about state, and pattern matching makes me drool.
